Position Overview and Responsibilities:

This position serves as a Business Development Specialist within the Bureau of Operational Services, Division of Recreation and Parks, in Tallahassee. The role supports the development and administration of visitor service agreements in Florida State Parks.

 

Primary responsibilities include conducting financial and business analysis, developing projections, drafting and reviewing contracts and amendments, processing monthly financial reports, tracking concessions revenue data, conducting research, preparing recommendations, and supporting operational programs. The position works closely with park staff, district staff, BOS leadership, and external stakeholders and requires occasional travel.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of effective written and verbal communication practices and applicable rules, policies, and procedures.

 

Skill in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Teams; contract and document review; organization and time management.

 

Ability to analyze data, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, prepare recommendations, establish and maintain effective working relationships, resolve inquiries, work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and travel periodically, including overnight travel.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Florida State Parks mission and operations.

Skill in contract development, financial analysis and creating business projections.

$20-24 per hour, 20 – 40 hours
