The Florida Park Service is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills, as well as land planning and administration skills, to join our dynamic team in the land administration section of the Division of Recreation and Parks (DRP), Office of Park Planning. This position will be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Assist with the development, preparation, and execution of state contracts, leases, subleases, releases, amendments, use agreements, easements, memoranda of understanding, permits, letters of authorization, licenses, and other legal documents, which pertain to lands under DRP management. Assist with developing records and promulgating reports relating to individual parcels for conservation lands under the DRP jurisdiction.
Assist with the investigation and analyzation of land administration and acquisition issues for DRP, other governmental (federal, state, local) and private (including non-governmental non-profit) entities, and provide recommendations for the disposition of such issues, including GIS-based analysis.
Research DEP records and databases, as well as land use databases, to assist with park planning management plans and park land use requests.
Assist with researching DEP records and databases and provide acquisition and encumbrance histories for unit management plans.
Prepare and organize project files. Scan project files into archival systems.
Assist park planners with the development of unit management plans, including various mapping and research projects.
Consult with park staff and district administration as well as OPP staff and other central office program areas for the purposes of land administration, acquisitions, and planning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data that pertain to land planning or real estate
- Problem-solving techniques in the field of land planning or real estate
- Research techniques in the field of land planning or real estate
Ability to:
- Utilize problem solving techniques for the purposes of land planning or real restate
- Prepare reports and records pertaining to land planning or real estate
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, in person and via virtual conferencing
- Learn how to read and interpret various maps pertaining to infrastructure, real property ownership, and ecology
- Learn how to utilize GIS for spatial data analysis and map production
- Learn how to interpret land surveys, deeds, and legal descriptions
- Learn how to prepare and digitize project files
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver license
