Job Description
This OPS Information Technology Project Manager I position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating prioritization and execution of project activities from start to finish, including helping drive team motivation and performance. The project manager implements "rightsized" project management processes and assists with planning, scheduling, communications, issue and feature tracking, change management, risk management, cost, and scope control. The position helps track project metrics while focusing on business objectives, stakeholder/customer satisfaction, and overall project benefit realization.
The I.T. project manager also helps staff committees, leads team meetings, provides status updates, organizes team materials, and keeps project dashboards and tracking information current.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Coordinates and assists with information systems program application projects and
studies.
• Consult with business users regarding application requirements. Collaborate with external entities, such as other agencies and departments, on technical projects.
• Conducts training on various technology systems; creates training documentation, course materials, etc.
• Assists with feasibility studies, analysis, and planning for IT projects.
• Communicate with internal and external justice system partners and stakeholders and attends staff and other professional meetings to exchange information.
• Performs IT related organizational, systems, problem-solving, statistical, and graphical analyses as required to provide operational support.
Education and Training Guidelines
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, finance, information technology, computer science or a closely related field.
Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
Two years of related work experience.
