MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 

A high school diploma or its equivalent and four (4) years of experience in laboratory or quality assurance work.
 

College or vocational/technical training can substitute at the rate of 30 semester, 45 quarter or 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience provided such education includes three courses in the physical and/or natural sciences.

JOB DUTIES:
 

Support the Bureau of Quality Management Laboratory section by tracking due dates and sending reminders.  Ensure equipment database is up to date and enter new equipment and maintenance schedules into database.  Send timely reminders to lab staff when equipment maintenance is coming due.  Track nonconformance reports and provide periodic updates to quality management staff when reports are started, updated, and/or closed.  Send timely reminders to lab staff when a particular step on a nonconformance report is coming due.  Upload new analyst competencies into tracking system when received.  Update ongoing competency documentation as directed by quality management staff.
 

Assist quality management team with document control.  Perform controlled prints of updated documents and replace outdated documents with the most recent version.  Track periodic reviews on external documents.
 

Attend team meetings.  Provide input to project planning and goal tracking.  Pull documents for internal and external audits.
 

Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of basic scientific terminology.
  • Skilled at data entry.
  • Skilled in customer service with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of internal customers.

  • Ability to correctly transcribe information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
