Position Overview and Responsibilities:
This is work providing technical assistance to computer system users.  Incumbent answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote locations. Incumbents may also provide assistance in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, office productivity software, electronic mail, and operating systems. This position will also support the department’s information technology network.

 

Knowledge of Personal Computers - Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of a PC.  Apply knowledge and understanding of PC fundamentals in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing PC’s. Knowledge of Networking - Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of networking concepts.  Apply knowledge and understanding of networking concepts in the installation, testing, diagnosing, and repairing of workstations in a network environment.


This is a part-time OPS position up to 29 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires sedentary work and repetitive motion. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
