POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This entry-level position serves as a Desktop Support Point of Contact for Department for Elder Affairs’ headquarters and field office staff.  Limited support, in the form of password resets, is provided to Area Agencies on Aging and service providers’ staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

PAY:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $15.00 to $17.00, hourly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Primary monitor of the Desktop Support telephone line and voicemail;
  • Primary monitor of the Desktop Support email account – create tickets from submitted requests, route emails to the appropriate IT support staff, initiate On/Off-Boarding tasks based on Memos to Hire and Personnel Action Reports;
  • Receive and create service requests for hardware, software, applications, peripherals, and network connectivity for in-office and mobile staff;
  • Receive, create, and resolve service requests for password resets for in-office and mobile staff;
  • Escalate incidents, when necessary, to maintain service level expectations;
  • Develop and/or maintain supportive documentation for future use by other members of the Enterprise Systems Support team and other Information Technology staff;
  • Provide assistance (as necessary) with tasks related to inventory, surplus, and destruction of electronic equipment;
  • Effectively demonstrate commitment to the Enterprise Systems Support team by engaging in open communication, sharing job and task knowledge with team members, taking initiative to help resolve recurring issues, working productively, and maintaining a high quality of work; 
  • Create value to the agency by providing excellent customer service demonstrated through courteous interaction, decrease in team response time, and decrease in call duration;
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform other duties and tasks, assigned.
