MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The completion of one (1) year of enrollment in an SAF (Society of American Foresters) accredited curriculum program from an accredited college or university.
Requires a valid driver license.

Occasional to moderate travel required.

This flexible position runs during the summer semesters at Florida colleges and other universities, with a maximum work week of 40 hours and a minimum of 20 hours per week.

JOB DUTIES:
This position will experience a broad array of activities working on state lands and with private forest landowners and communities.
Activities may vary by state forest locations:
- Timber Inventory
- Harvest Inspections
- Site prep and survival checks
- Rx burn evaluations.
- updating geodatabases
- trail development/ maintenance
- recreation counts
- rare plant surveys
- treating invasive species
- private landowner assistance
- outreach programs
- Champion Tree measurements,
- Silviculture Best Management Practice Assistance
- Southern Pine Beetle monitoring
- Threatened and endangered species management
- urban forestry assistance
