MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or it’s equivalent and one (1) year of work experience in human resources, administrative, customer service, or clerical support.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a human resources environment.
- Experience with handling confidential information.
- Experience working in People First.
- Experience working in FLAIR.
- Knowledge of the Florida PALM system.

JOB DUTIES:
Provide various support to the Benefits and Compensation Section. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform testing activities to support the agency’s transition from the Florida Accounting Information Resource system (FLAIR) to the Florida Planning, Accounting and Ledger Management system (FL PALM).
Process Personnel Action Requests (PARS) such as new hires, promotions, demotions, reassignment, pay changes, and employee separations.
Assist with processing various leave payouts. Monitor and confirm payouts in FLAIR to ensure employees are paid accurately.
Provide backup assistance with processing bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls and generating various payroll related reports for distribution.
Scan or upload Payroll and Attendance and Leave related documents to employee personnel files in OnBase.
Assist with other special projects and assignments as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive and personal information.
- Proficient in using databases, electronic files, and Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams).
- Ability to compile and analyze data.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
