The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is the agency charged with licensing and regulating various businesses and non-medical professionals in the state of Florida, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, real estate agents and pari-mutuel wagering facilities. Our mission is to license efficiently, regulate fairly, and we strive to meet this goal in our day-to-day operation. The Division of Service Operations manages the Bureau of Central Intake and Licensure, the one-stop shop for intake of applications and licensing. The division also oversees the Customer Contact Center, which handles all initial interaction conducted via telephone and e-mail. This is a part time OPS Senior Clerk position in the Customer Contact Center.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least one year of customer service experience; and
- Must have at least one year of experience working with computers; and
- Must have experience researching and collecting data; and
- Must have experience preparing written correspondence.

- This is a part time position, and the selected candidate will be given a permanent work schedule based on operational needs, which may begin as early as 8:00 am and end as late as 5:15 pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Specific job duties include assisting the Training and Research Specialist with preparing and mailing printed materials based on customer requests to the Department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of copy machine, fax machine, phone system
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies and procedures regarding licensure and regulation of professionals, and ensure consumer protection as it relates to the professions regulated by DBPR.
