Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a professional position working with the Department of Health’s programs to assist with the development, management, and monitoring of financial assistance agreements. The work involves performance of contract management activities and analytical consulting which involves independently planning and prioritizing activities to ensure a high level of oversight.
Review and conduct analysis on procurement and contract management activities for program offices as assigned by the Deputy Secretary for Operations. Assisting in the development of standard operating procedures and process maps for as as required.
Serve as a contract manager for assigned contractual service and financial assistance agreements and stay abreast of department, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing assigned agreements. Develop contract actions, review and approve budgets, and provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders. Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning assigned contracts. Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress. Perform reviews of contract files to assure that the contract records are complete and in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Conduct programmatic, fiscal, and administrative monitoring of contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to established policy and guidelines. Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters as needed. Works with the stakeholders to resolve adverse findings.
Perform reviews of contract files to ensure that the contract records are complete and in compliance with contract terms and conditions. Prepares written reports of findings and recommendations. Works with the Contract Administrator and department representatives to resolve adverse findings.
Other duties as assigned, including providing assistance as needed in response to and recovery following natural or man-made disasters.

Background in problem-solving, project management, and financial management;
Ability to work well with individuals and groups, to express ideas and information orally and in writing, to plan and implement programs and activities with minimum supervision and to make decisions with independent judgment;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or commensurate experience.
If selected for employment, applicant will be required to become a Florida Certified Contract Manager upon time frame set by employer.
