JOB DESCRIPTION:

The OPS Staff Assistant position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support by assisting with program management, conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, assisting constituents and performing administrative and clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. 

 

 

HOURLY RATE OF PAY:

$20.00 per hour / 32 hours per week

 

 

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Monitors supplies and coordinates orders as required.

Assists with the preparation and filing of travel documents for the section’s personnel.

Assists with securing travel accommodations.

Generates and completes Purchase Order documents for purchases within the Section.

Reviews, assigns, prepares, and tracks correspondence assignments.

Maintains various databases.

Reads and responds to correspondence.

Assists with preparation of training, publications and other materials.

Complete audit across multiple platforms and present discrepancies to their supervisor, while ensuring audits are completed by set due dates.

Assist with processing public records within the Agency’s records management system, video housing solution, and the public record tracking system.

Assist with the acquisition and distribution of large assets ie., laptops, cell phones, body worn cameras.

Handles other administrative duties as assigned.

This position also assists the other staff in their assigned tasks as needed due to scheduling or workload.
