MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional experience in database systems analysis and design.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

JOB DUTIES:
The OPS Systems Project Consultant reports directly to the Data Processing Manager at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). This highly responsible professional position is responsible for creating detailed technical documentation and providing technical reports.
Technical Documentation: This position will coordinate and create detailed technical documentation of the FDACS IT data interfaces as they relate to the Florida PALM (Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management) project. The documentation will include mapping from current FDACS IT data interfaces both inbound and outbound to FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource) to the FDACS IT data interfaces both inbound and outbound to PALM where applicable. In addition, this position will create documentation as assigned to map FDACS database data fields to the PALM data interfaces.
Technical Service: This position will also perform other IT-related duties as assigned to assist with documentation for Agency Business Systems as it relates to PALM, and to provide support as needed for creation and design of PALM’s agency-specific configuration data.
Position Basis: This position relates directly to the Florida PALM Project and may be required to attend meetings or trainings to better understand the impact of PALM designs on FDACS data processes.
