This is an onsite position in Tallahassee, Florida.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
DEP’s Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) is currently seeking an OPS Systems Project Analyst. This position provides day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of DEP’s Salesforce platform. In addition, the incumbent will also be involved with the planning, analysis, design, and implementation of additional applications and functions on the platform. The incumbent of this position will represent OTIS and must be helpful, cooperative, polite, respectful, and courteous at all times in the interactions with customers.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Serve as primary system administrator for the DEP Salesforce platform
- Handle basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
- Govern Salesforce user roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups.
- Oversee the building of custom reports and dashboards.
- Complete routine internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
- Coordinate platform data feeds and other integrations
- Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests
- Work with program areas to support administrative, development, and change management activities
- Assist in training of new users in order to grow the Salesforce skillset across the organization
- Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
- Research, collate, and compile data from multiple sources for special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The selected candidate may be placed in charge of ‘special’ assignments/initiatives, as needed. This may include taking on new role(s), responsibilities, and skillsets (which the staff may not currently possess) to satisfy the assignment objectives and bring them to completion on a stated timetable.
Attendance is an essential function of the position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of platform as a service including Salesforce
- Knowledge of HTML, ECMAScript, Endpoint, External Objects
- Knowledge of security hierarchy, including role-based security
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on DEP’s Salesforce platform and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
- Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support in a succinct manner
- Knowledge of business analysis practices
- Ability to create a detailed account of events, outline problems, identify opportunities, and propose solutions
- Ability to develop and maintain accurate, detailed documentation for both internal and external purposes
- Interested in developing Lightning Web Components
- Ability to learn quickly and participate in a team effort and deliver on various time sensitive projects simultaneously
- Possess strong problem-solving, priority scoring, collaboration and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies/toolsets quickly and apply the concepts learned in a timely manner
- Possess acceptable verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to determine and estimate workload priorities and ensure completion of assignments
- Ability to uphold professionalism and facilitate interactions across all levels of the agency
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Position of Special Trust Requirement:
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications
- A bachelors or associates degree from a college or university in an IT-related field
- Experience administering configurable software as a service solutions
Pay:
$28-$30 / Hourly
