This is an onsite position in Tallahassee, Florida.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
DEP’s Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) is currently recruiting for a Systems Project Analyst. This position will work with the web development team to implement and maintain Drupal Content Management System (CMS) Internet and Intranet sites. The incumbent of this position will represent OTIS and must be helpful, cooperative, polite, respectful, and courteous at all times in the interactions with customers.
The primary duties of this position include:
- Design, implement and build new web pages and sites using the Drupal CMS
- Develop User workflows
- Develop Drupal CMS module
- Publish high-priority (typically same-day) web content to ensure the public have up-to-date information
- Scan web pages using accessibility and compliance tools and update web pages to ensure site accuracy and usability
- Scan web pages to identify broken links and misspelled words and work with web administrators to resolve identified problems
- Receive, interpret and document complex information and requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
- Account management for web-based notification systems
- Grant appropriate permissions to web-based file share systems such as SharePoint and OneDrive
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JQUERY, MYSQL
- Drupal CMS development
- A strong understanding of modern web and mobile practices to create and review an efficient user-experience
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing, alternate style sheets
- Familiarity with web performance optimization concepts/best practices including caching, CDN, load testing
- Familiarity with web accessibility initiative such as Section 508, and other web compliance standards
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Very strong customer service orientation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience building and maintaining web pages using content management systems with foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of the development process
- Ability to publish, update, and manage web content accurately and on schedule
- Familiarity with web accessibility, usability, and cross-browser combability concepts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document requirements and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Position of Special Trust Requirement:
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Pay:
$24 - $26 / Hourly
