Job Description

The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist in collecting, formatting, tabulating and analyzing information and statistical data for use in measuring the effectiveness of court programs and operations, and to prepare/develop reports, recommendations for improvements, new programs and training materials. The position is responsible for performing research to collect data; analyzing information/data; preparing recommendations, reports and other informational documents; making presentations; providing project support; and serving as an information resource and liaison. The position works under the limited supervision of the Senior Court Operations Consultant and the Manager of the Resource Planning and Support Services Unit.

 

Education and Training Guidelines

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, statistics, the social sciences or a closely related field and four years of relevant experience including quantitative and qualitative quality assurance and control.

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.

Communications Requirements:

Performs work involving the application of broad principles of professional management and leadership to solve new problems for which conventional solutions do not exist; requires sustained, intense concentration for accurate results and continuous exposure to unusual pressure.

 

Impact of Decisions:

Makes decisions with minor impact – may affect some units in organization and may affect citizens.

 

Equipment Usage:

Leads or handles machines, tools, equipment or work aids involving moderate latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items, such as computers, peripherals, or software programs, such as word processing, spreadsheets or custom applications.

 

Safety of Others:

Requires some responsibility for safety and health of others.

 

Special Comments

Knowledge of the Florida State Court System organization, operations, and jurisdiction is preferred. Prior applicants will be considered.
