POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cyber Division is seeking a technically capable OPS System Programming Consultant to support statewide cyber investigative operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining and supporting investigative technology platforms used by law enforcement agencies across Florida.
The primary responsibility of this role is the administration and operational management of the agency’s Cellebrite Pathfinder digital evidence analysis platform.
In addition to managing the Pathfinder environment, this position provides technical support to Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Investigative squads statewide, assists with investigative database administration, and supports cybersecurity monitoring activities that help ensure investigative systems remain secure and operational.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Administrating and maintaining the Cellebrite Pathfinder digital evidence analysis platform, including system configuration, storage management, performance tuning, and system reliability;
- Supporting the underlying investigative infrastructure associated with Pathfinder, including servers, networking, storage systems, and security controls;
- Providing technical support to Regional ICAC squads statewide, assisting with desktop, application, and network-related issues affecting investigative technology platforms;
- Assisting with the administration and maintenance of law enforcement intelligence and investigative databases maintained by the Cyber Division;
- Developing, installing, maintaining, and planning network operating system environments used to support cyber investigative infrastructure;
- Providing technical consulting and guidance related to investigative technology systems used in criminal investigations;
- Assisting with the implementation, deployment, and tuning of commercial and open-source cybersecurity tools used to protect investigative systems;
- Assisting with monitoring and reviewing cybersecurity alerts generated by the agency’s security tools and software;
- Coordinating with investigators, analysts, and partner agencies to ensure investigative technology platforms remain secure, operational, and optimized for investigative use; and
- Providing technical support and coordination with Florida law enforcement partner agencies utilizing Cyber Division investigative systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and network infrastructure;
- Comprehensive knowledge of one or more of the major network operating systems;
- Basic knowledge of cyber intrusion techniques and cybersecurity defense concepts. Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental computer operations including hardware, software applications, and electronic communications;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with law enforcement agencies, investigators, and technical staff;
- Ability to remain current with emerging technology trends and investigative technology tools;
- Ability to produce clear and accurate written documentation and investigative reports; and
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate technical work assignments across multiple systems and operational priorities.

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week), including:

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
