JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a Personnel Services Specialist in the Department of Revenue Office of Workforce Management in Tallahassee, Florida. It is a professional role that supports the Department’s Human Resources/Organizational Management functions. Key responsibilities include processing personnel and payroll actions and maintaining organizational data in People First, verifying employment eligibility via E-Verify, preparing classification packages for the Department of Management Services and advising staff on HR processes and policies. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, independent critical thinking, and collaboration.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • At least one year of experience working in a Human Resources position.
  • At least one year of experience using an HRIS (e.g., People First, PeopleSoft, ADP).
  • At least one year of experience interpreting laws, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience processing personnel actions in People First.
  • Familiarity with HR principles and organizational management.
  • Knowledge of State of Florida Personnel Rules.

SALARY: $50,439.96.
