Duties and Responsibilities
As a member of the Recruitment team, you will have a pivotal role in the recruitment and selection of FLHSMV members. Our objective is to attract and recruit top-quality candidates by implementing a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the agency's needs, ensures a positive candidate experience, and meets compliance requirements.
You will collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate position requirements, pinpoint ideal candidate profiles, establish effective selection criteria, and craft compelling job advertisements. Employ both traditional and innovative recruitment tools and strategies to seek out and engage quality candidates. Act as a representative for FLHSMV at various recruitment and networking events, as well as other agency branding and outreach efforts. Offer guidance, training, and support to hiring managers at every step of the selection process, from initial screening to background checks, to promote an efficient, equitable, and uniform process, and to contribute to outstanding hiring decisions. Review requests for hiring, promotions, and other appointments to ensure they comply with relevant laws, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate records of recruitment, selection, and appointment activities. Suggest and assist in the implementation of modifications that improve, streamline, or simplify the recruitment methods, practices, and instruments. Supply data for the use and tracking of essential recruitment metrics. Perform research and aid in the creation and execution of strategic plans to achieve the Department's goals for talent acquisition and retention.
Daily operational tasks may involve processing requests to advertise positions, posting requisitions, reviewing and sorting candidate pools, and performing compliance reviews of hiring packets.

- Experience related to human resources, particularly recruitment and compliance.

Job Related Requirements
• The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance, the Department will have access to all an applicant’s criminal and juvenile delinquency records, even those that have been sealed or expunged.

General Information
- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
