Position Overview and Responsibilities:

• This is an intermediate level analyst position in the Submerged Lands and Environmental Resources Coordination Program responsible for developing, editing, and tracking the various rulemaking efforts that occur within the program.
• Drafts, edits, and prepares rulemaking documents.
• Coordinates with agency attorneys to ensure rulemaking procedures are followed and completed on time.
• Works with agency staff as well as interested parties while drafting rule amendments.
• Prepares and maintains accurate reports and records describing activities in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Assists with the development of any outreach materials or presentations related to rules.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of verifiable related experience in planning, evaluation, research, analysis, business, government, social, health, or rehabilitative services, or fiscal work.  Post-secondary degrees may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis. A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees..

• Valid Driver’s License

Position of Special Trust Requirement:

This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year experience in planning, evaluation, research, analysis, business, government, social, health, or rehabilitative services, or fiscal work.
