High School Diploma or equivalent required.

 

Five (5) years of FLAIR- Payroll related experience is required.

 

Preferences:

 

The annual salary range for this position is $43,151.16 – 50,000.00.

 

 Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to coordinate activities required to process and audit all payrolls ensuring each payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner; review fatal errors during payroll processing to determine if the payroll is processing within normal error tolerances; collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow, and other activities; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials; conduct fact-finding research; utilize problem-solving techniques; work independently; plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Independently conducts audits on all leave payouts with deferred compensation and beneficiary payments processed in BOSP.
  • Monitors and audits all On-Demand Payment Request by State Agencies.  Independently conducts daily random audits of payments State Agencies are entering via the On Demand System in FLAIR-PYRL.
  • Formulates solutions for agencies when they have questions/issues in reference to processing payments through FLAIR-PYRL.  
  • Develop user training for agency personnel including preparation of training materials covering system re-engineering/enhancements, new programs and updated policies. 
  • Audits all payrolls processed through The Bureau of State Payrolls
