DESCRIPTION

This position is dedicated to the review and evaluation of application credentials to determine eligibility for a Florida Educator's Certificate. The selected candidate will be required to complete a comprehensive, on-the-job training program to attain the skills necessary to accurately and efficiently evaluate eligibility for Educator Certification pursuant to Florida Statutes, State Board of Education Administrative Rules, and Department/Bureau policies. After successful completion of the training program, which spans 9-months or longer, the evaluator will be capable of independently processing applications to issue certificates for instructional and administrative educators in Florida public and private schools.  A production quota is specified and the employee is expected to process eligibility evaluations in a fast-paced, high volume work environment with an exceptional level of accuracy.

To attain an acceptable rate of accurate production, eligibility evaluations require quiet, independent focused desk work allowing for only limited interaction with co-workers. In-depth analytical skills, great attention to complex detail, proficient organizational skills and good work habits are mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with processing database applications or in the area of data analysis.

Candidates requiring a reasonable accommodation, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, must notify the agency hiring authority and/or People First Service Center (1-866-663-4735).
