The Program Specialist IV position supports the Director of the Florida Student Success Center in working collaboratively with Florida’s 28 colleges to create a coherent statewide strategy so colleges can integrate their varied student success efforts, share best practices with one another and maximize resources. This includes working to plan and execute statewide convening’s and providing technical assistance and resources to colleges to support the development of student-centered pathways to boost completion rates. Specifically, this position:

  • Collaborates with other staff in the division and the department to carry out the duties of the position described below;
  • Supports an ongoing student success-focused policy agenda for the State of Florida and the 28 colleges;
  • Provides support to center activities including communications, compilation of records, reports of proceedings, calendar maintenance and related arrangements;
  • Supports and when appropriate leads specific student success efforts, including those related to the implementation of guided pathways;
  • Assist

    •    Supports the numerous initiatives managed by the center and assists the Director with timely grant reporting to the respective funders;
    •    Actively engages with national partners to collaborate on student success initiatives, participates in relevant national networks and convening’s, and raises the profile of the center; 
    •    Maintains and improves personal effectiveness by delivering quality and timely products and services; adapting to changing priorities, demands and expectations; and acquiring and applying new skills and knowledge;
    •    Sustains productivity under tight timeframes, balances multiple and competing priorities and maintains goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions
    •    Performs other specifically assigned duties and special projects.
