JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting relating to the various subject matter areas within the Office of Safe Schools (OSS). This is a highly responsible and professional position that will serve as a Contract Manager managing multiple contracts for the Office of Safe Schools. This position is responsible for performing highly technical, consultative, and administrative work. This position will collaborate with each section within the office and be required to use independent judgement, take initiative in carrying out duties and responsibilities and should be extraordinarily detail oriented.

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with service providers, ensuring positive provider relations and timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain good working relationships and close coordination with stakeholders from partnering agencies, vendors, and subrecipients.
- Ensure ongoing provider delivery of quality services and adherence to contract terms and performance expectations in a positive, professional, transparent, and accountable manner.
- Review and approve deliverables, monitor provider performance and ensure accountability for service provision.
- Review, approve, and process provider invoices and maintain detailed accounting and expenditure documentation.
- Maintain official contract agreement files in accordance with statute, department operating procedures, funding source requirements and requirements of the Department of Management Services and the Department of Financial Services.
- Perform contract monitoring for assigned contracts and participate in cross-unit program monitoring team activity as needed. Monitoring activity includes desk audits, file reviews, corrective action planning and technical assistance where necessary.
- Perform contract renewal, amendment, and closeout duties, including contract evaluation and review and documentation of provider performance.
- Conduct regular and ad hoc analyses of budgets, expenditure reports, projections, and other financial documents related to OSS contracts for compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations, applicable funding restrictions and operating procedures and general accepted accounting principles.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional work experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- 1 year of contract experience.
Preferences will be given to:
- Applicants who meet both the professional and educational experience.
- Applicants who have direct experience with contracts.

LEAVE INFORMATION: SMS/SES
- Annual Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.
- Sick Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions shall be credited with 104 hours of sick leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of initial appointment.
