This position will support Project Management (PM) programs, websites and dashboards, including those related to: Errors and Omissions, Standard Scope of Services and Staff Hour Development Forms/Guidelines, PM Key Performance Indicators, PM Innovations, Consultant Evaluations, Quality Assurance, PM Guide and PM Training.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Support Project Management (PM) programs, websites and dashboards, including those related to: Errors and Omissions, Standard Scope of Services and Staff Hour Development Forms/Guidelines, PM Key Performance Indicators, PM Innovations, Consultant Evaluations, Quality Assurance, PM Guide and PM Training.
Serve as backup to Statewide Administrator(s) of project management tools and system applications. Assist with responding to user questions and account issues, monitoring for system issues, and development of related training, tools, guidelines, help documents, and other resources, to inform and educate Department and consultant project managers on information related to project management systems and programs.
Assist with updating and maintaining manuals, policies, procedures, handbooks, worksheets and guidelines related to Project Management program areas, including the necessary coordination for any revisions and quality control.
Assist with analysis of PM Key Performance indicators. Conduct research, evaluations, coordination and surveys to support the development, implementation and delivery of Project Management initiatives. Analyze and report on data gathered.
Assist with various needs related to Project Management Training.
Support special projects being managed by other office staff, including reporting project status and coordinating meetings to discuss and resolve project issues.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of Department Project Management policies, procedures, concepts, principals and functions.
- Knowledge of engineering and design, concepts, principles, and terminology.
- Knowledge of the Department’s FDOT Design Manual, Standard Plans, Standard Specifications and Federal Highway Administration directives.
Skills in:
- Skill in communicating technical information clearly, accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Skill in reviewing and interpreting technical data.
Ability to:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various personnel inside and outside of the Department.
- Ability to prepare written guidelines and procedures and other data and preparing said items in a clear and concise manner for the purpose of reporting.
- Ability to define issues, facilitate meetings, organize presentations knowledgeably and clearly to all levels of participants (plain language).
- Ability to prepare and present quality training materials.
- Ability to work effectively in teams either as a participant, facilitator or leader.
- Ability to manage programs.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information clearly, accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing with individuals as well as groups.
- Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for the collection, evaluation and presentation of data and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and review engineering reports.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, schedule resources effectively, plan, organize, manage and prioritize multiple work assignments, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to and support various needs of the Project Management and Performance Section and the Office of Forecasting and Performance.
Other Job-Related Requirements:
- This position will be required to respond before, during and following emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and three years’ experience.
