DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Primary job duties are focused on providing reactive and proactive media outreach related to the office of Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS). Focus will be on but not limited to: MyAccess, SNAP-Ed, Disaster SNAP, and government assistance eligibility.
  • Serves as the project manager for campaigns related to the program area.
  • Provides overall direction for administration, coordination and implementation of ESS Communications functions and works with program staff to identify wins, weaknesses, and communications needs.
  • Coordinates with Public Information professionals representing agencies and organizations throughout the state (law enforcement, court system, hospitals, community based care organizations and other providers, state agencies), and works with program staff to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to organize information into a logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of media/communications experience.
