Description of Job Duties:

This is an entry level technical position responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating economic data pertaining to utility-related issues, with a focus on utility conservation programs and associated costs. The employee in this position is required to analyze filings, prepare reports in a timely manner, and make presentations to the Commission. The position may work individually or as part of a team, and some assignments may require a quick turnaround deadline.

 

Minimum Qualifications:     

A bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study preferably in: business administration, with an emphasis in economics, finance or accounting; economics; accounting; finance; mathematics; statistics; or public administration.

 

This position works in close interaction with other technical and legal staff, requiring the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Employment Eligibility:

Pursuant to Section 112.313, F.S., FPSC Senior Management Service or Selected Exempt Service employees shall not personally represent another person or entity for compensation before the Commission, for a period of two years following vacation of his/her position.  Exceptions to this law are provided for former Commission employees who are employed by another agency of State government and those employed by the Commission prior to January 1, 1995.
