Description of Job Duties:

The position is responsible for the preparation and presentation of recommendations pertaining to electric utility depreciation, decommissioning, and dismantlement, as well as gas utility depreciation. This position is responsible for the review of Depreciation Studies and Depreciation Annual Status Reports for investor-owned utilities regulated in Florida. The employee in this position reviews load, fuel price, and emission price forecasts in rate cases, determination of need, FEECA conservation goal setting, Ten Year Site Plan reviews, etc.

 

This position is responsible for assigned issues in the Cost Recovery Clause Proceedings including but not limited to depreciation, dismantlement, decommissioning, project feasibility, load forecasting, long term price forecasts and various financial and operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications: 

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in economics, statistics, finance, accounting or business related fields of study and a minimum of two years of employment with the Florida Public Service Commission.

 

This position requires close interaction with other technical and legal staff, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

 

This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
