DESCRIPTION
This is a highly responsible professional programmatic administration of all Adult Protective Services (APS) program within the region. This is professional work supervising and directing employees; including but not limited to communication with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; and having the authority to effectively recommend actions such as: hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, promote, discharge, assign, and reward or discipline direct reports. Evaluates employees against established standards and takes appropriate actions when necessary (i.e. recognition, reward, corrective action, etc.).

Essential Job Functions
This position will serve as the official Single Point of Contact, which is designated to coordinate the provision of Florida’s vulnerable adult population.
- Develop and assure compliance with all program objectives, performance standards and quality improvement plans.
- Direct and assure programmatic quality assurance and quality improvement activities for all programs in accordance with current APS Quality Assurance Procedures.
- Ensure provision of technical assistance and policy interpretation to staff for: Protective Investigations; Protective Supervision; Home Care of Disabled Adults (HCDA); Community Care for Disabled Adults (CCDA); Protective Intervention (Placement and Supportive Services); and ADA Medicaid waiver.
- Direct and ensure provision of all program training activities for all APS staff.
- Manage Region Budget with assistance from Budget office.
- Direct the evaluation of service delivery and compliance with standards by means of data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure Adult Services Information System (ASIS) accuracy for the Northwest Region.
- Service as a liaison between the Region APS and APS headquarters staff.
- Produce Northwest Region Business Plan charts for APS.
