Duties and Responsibilities

This position is located in the Bureau of Dealer Services, Manufactured Housing, Installer License and HUD Office. This position is responsible for processing label applications and the issuance of HUD labels required by law to be displayed on mobile homes manufactured in Florida. This position also reviews, monitors, and implements applicable changes to policies and laws; oversees the collection of fees assessed for the sale of HUD labels and hourly charges; processing requests for Manufactured Homes Data Sheets; processing monthly production reports and managing records retention and destruction.  Additionally, this position assists with Installer Licensing.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of, and the ability to apply state, federal and case law and DHSMV operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Skill in using Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and SharePoint databases.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer to analyze and communicate information in the appropriate format.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Skill in providing quality customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to assess the needs of customers, provide information to customers and resolve problems.
  • Ability to observe, receive and obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to compose, proofread, and edit correspondence.
  • Ability to prepare reports.
  • Ability to evaluate and verify information to determine compliance with standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Professional work experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Professional work experience composing, proofing, and editing correspondence and professional work experience in customer service.

 

General Information

  • The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
  • Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
