MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations or investigations.  

 

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. 

 

An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals six (6) years can substitute for the above requirements.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

The incumbent of this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, F.A.C.

 

Occasional travel required.

JOB DUTIES:

 

Review and evaluate applications quarterly to determine eligibility for participation in the Registry of Prior Notification of the Application of Pesticides. Evaluate applications for completeness and compliance with applicable requirements for licenses issued under Chapter 482, F.S. Perform all necessary tasks as related to the maintenance of the Prior Notification Registry list. Verify fee payments and review and evaluate that all documents required for new and renewal applications are complete. Perform these activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Update, transmit, retrieve, and change information to records in applicable databases. 

 

Assist supervisor as back-up processor for all processes for all applicable licenses. Review and evaluate all documents and verify completion. Process license or renewal as instructed by supervisor.  

 

Serve as the Pest Control section’s Finance & Accounting liaison. Communicate verbally and in writing with the Finance & Accounting Department regarding refunds, payment issues, and any other related discrepancies.

 

Responsible for assisting supervisor in training new staff, as needed.

 

Process and update all insurance documents received for the section. Communicate in writing or verbally with customers to ensure documents are correct and complete for processing. Generate any necessary deficiency letters and distribute accordingly.

 

Perform related duties as required.
