The Work You Will Do

Incumbent is responsible for the proper handling of Customer Contact Center escalations to help ensure quality customer service and acts as a Licensing Subject Matter Expert for the division. Assists internal and external customers with licensing and application related issues.

 

  • Serves as a Licensing subject matter expert for the Division and is responsible for addressing customer questions, work orders or complaints. Responds to customer submissions in writing, electronically and by telephone. Serves as dispatcher for the division and is responsible for reviewing escalations received from the Customer Contact Center and resolving or sending it to the appropriate personnel to be resolved. Responsible for quality review of the submitted response.

 

  • Assists external customers, district office staff, application processors, and other Department staff in conducting daily administrative licensing support activities. Analyzes and researches unprocessed applications to determine appropriate resolution. Provides guidance and assistance regarding licensing support policy and the correct usage of fee schedules, deposit errors, and licensee payment problems.

 

  • Analyzes money/deposits to determine distribution to appropriate customer entity and application. Identifies licensing revenue deposit problems and errors which hinder system production of renewal notices and issuance of a license; works closely with Department staff for timely resolution of “trouble” deposits.

 

  • Performs other duties as required.       

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to integrate use of software and desktop or portable hardware to enhance personal & organizational performance, including spreadsheet, word processing, scheduling, e-mail, licensing & internet applications & other technology required by the department. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate, verbally & in writing effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience processing Food and Lodging licensing applications in a regulatory environment; and
  • Experience using document archiving or scanning software; and
  • Experience troubleshooting deficient applications in a regulatory environment; and
  • Customer service experience assisting customers in person, through correspondence, and on the telephone.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with Food or Lodging industry experience.
