Our Organization and Mission:
The Division of Service Operations manages the Central Intake and Licensure unit, the one-stop shop for intake of applications and payments. The Division also oversees the Customer Contact Center (CCC), which handles all initial interaction conducted via telephone and e-mail.
The Work You Will Do:
This is a highly responsible position under the direct supervision of the Regulatory Program Administrator in the Bureau of Central Intake and Licensure, Revenue Unit.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position performs the following work and other related activities:
- Assists the Regulatory Program Administrator with all aspects of effective and efficient operation of the unit, to include training, assisting bureau staff, and testing of process changes to the License Operations Unit.
- Assists management in analyzing processes including interpretation of laws, rules, policies and standards and recommends changes to improve operations, to save time, labor and other costs to improve quality control and operating efficiency.
- Researches and Coordinates research between the bureau and its customers for resolution of problems originating from errors made by the unit.
- Provides exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers when giving directions on application processing requirements. Represents management in the Bureau of Central Intake and Licensure in matters as authorized and assigned. Prepares reports detailing unit activity as requested. Reports events, errors or trends to the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have experience in or knowledge of profiling and validating Department applications.
- Must have a working knowledge of DBPR licensing business practices and single licensing system.
- Ability to compile, organize and analyze data. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Basic Internet research and navigation.
- Extensive knowledge of the department's document imaging and licensing system.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Basic writing and grammar skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least two (2) years’ office experience; and
- Must have one (1) year of experience or knowledge of profiling and validating applications in compliance with guidelines; and
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Notes:
