This position is responsible for providing regulatory support through application processing for medical marijuana use and to address inquiries received from internal and external stakeholders through calls, electronic and written communications related to the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU).
Your Specific Responsibilities:

Provides customer assistance to internal and external stakeholders by either providing responses to program related inquires using an approved call script, routing calls to appropriate vendor, division, office, and/or agency, or obtaining necessary information to address electronic and written communications.

Provides complete, accurate, and professional service to all persons who inquire or ask for assistance in a courteous and respectful manner.

Assist MMTC staff with seed-to sale system inquiries.

Greets and screens all persons to determine level of assistance required.

Assist with legislative requests and inquiries received by the OMMU as needed.

Perform routine audits of applications processed by the third-party vendor to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements established by law, rules, and departmental policies.

Provide technical assistance to ensure applications are processed accordingly, includes assisting with clearing application issues, troubleshooting the application module, and completing application reviews as needed.

Process patient and caregiver applications for Medical Marijuana Use Registry identification cards.

Conduct routine audits of applications for Medical Marijuana Use Registry identification cards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements established by law, rules, and departmental policies.

Develop and maintain updated messaging scripts in coordination with program staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; communicating effectively with others in writing.
- Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; talking to others to effectively convey information.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in either written form or electronically.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional experience to include answering phones, preparing reports, creating correspondence, researching, and gathering data.
- Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
-
2 years or more of professional experience to include answering phones, preparing reports, creating correspondence, researching, and gathering data.

1 year or more of professional experience reviewing documentation to ensure it meets required standards.

Must have a valid Florida State driver's license, satisfactorily complete a background investigation, fingerprinting, and participation in direct deposit are requirements for employment.
