Your Specific Responsibilities:

Serves as the Team Lead for assigned professions, which includes the following: monitoring the timely completion of all application reports by the team as well as serving as a member of the processing team; reporting to Program Operations Administrator when application files are not being reviewed in a timely manner. Reports to be monitored would include the following: Initial Application Reports; Unassigned Money Reports; VO Document Upload Reports; Mail Repository Reports; Initial Applications to Expire Reports; 30 Days Since Last Deficiency Reports; Processed Apps Pending Action Reports; Licensure Error Reports, as needed; and other profession¬ specific application reports, as applicable.

Independently evaluates and processes all applications, including foreign trained applications, for physical therapy examination and endorsement applicants, including re-exam applications. Evaluates and processes Physical Therapist CAPTE endorsement applications and re-exam applications. Evaluates and processes all Respiratory Care Certified and Registered Respiratory Therapist endorsement applications, including verifying certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care . If necessary, coordinates with the lead Regulatory Specialist III and/or the Program Administrator to determine final eligibility for testing and/or licensure. Requires in depth knowledge of the regulatory process. Applicant status will be based on criteria established by Chapter 486, F.S., and Chapter 468 Part V, F.S., and applicable board rules. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of licensure information in the Division's licensure database. Downloads and processes new scores daily and updates files accordingly. Monitors and updates incomplete applicants using the pending reports in the licensure database. Sends follow up notices to pending applicants according to timeframe established for the division. Tracks and expires incomplete application files that have met the one-year mark.

Provides office consultation, written correspondence, emails, and other information to applicants and    licensees upon request and by telephone, regarding applications, licensure, and continuing education. Requires in depth knowledge of the regulatory process.

Assists for the purpose of monitoring Feedback email boxes for two (2) professions; distributing emails to the appropriate Board office  and ensuring a response is provided within 24 hours; reporting failure to respond to emails within 24-hours to the POA; and serving as back up to RSIII as the subject matter expert for processors when confronted with situations that are outside the norm, handling problem applications.

Serves as back-up to POA and RSIII regarding functions related to Probable Cause Panel meetings. Responsibilities would include the following: ensuring PSU staff is kept current on PCP meeting dates and panel member appointees; communicating with PSU staff, as needed, to ensure PCP agendas are timely published to PCP members and staff; reviewing PCP agendas for public cases and ensuring PSU provides the public agenda and public book for timely posting to the applicable Board's website; sending out meeting reminders and notifying POA of any quorum issues opening up and recording PCP meetings when the RSIII, POA or ED are unavailable.

Performs daily entry of mail in the repository and verifies accuracy of mail scan lists.

Provide input in the formulation and revision of rules and policies, input in changes to the applications or website for physical therapy. Responds to telephonic and other verbal communications regarding policies, procedures, regulations, and operations of the office, board and department.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

This is a fully on-site position based in Tallahassee.  Employees are required to work from our Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
