The Work You Will Do
This position is responsible for processing food, lodging, and elevator applications, and serves as a backup for the Regulatory Program Specialist role by providing customer support through escalations and TierN email processing. The position is expected to support the subject matter expert for the Office of Licensure and is assigned additional tasks analyzing reports and resolving licensing and application issues.
- Efficiently process food, lodging and elevator applications.
- Analyze, research, and resolve licensing problems and errors daily and as directed, which hinder system production of renewal notices and issuance of a license or approval of applications. Act as the back-up subject matter expert for Licensing.
- Assist in resolving customer requests via Licensing’s TierN email box. Works independently to resolve problems, research policy, rule, law, or administrative code as needed, to provide accurate responses.
- Serve as backup to the Regulatory Consultant responsible for resolving escalations received from the Customer Contact Center. Ensure proper handling of all escalations received to help ensure quality customer service.
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skilled in the use of software, desktop hardware to enhance personal and organizational performance (spreadsheet, work processing, scheduling, e-mail, licensing & internet applications and other technology required by the department).
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of services. Ability to conduct fact finding research. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Minimum Requirements
Experience processing Food, Lodging, and Elevator licensing applications in a regulatory environment; and
Experience troubleshooting deficient applications in a regulatory environment; and
Experience adjusting and assigning fees in Versa Regulation; and
Customer service experience assisting customers in person, through correspondence, and on the telephone.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with Food or Lodging industry experience.
