Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the regulatory and administrative functions of the Board of Nursing Home Administrators and the Medical Physicists, Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic and Radiologic Technologist Certification Units. This position is responsible for supervising staff and reports to the Program Operations Administrator. The primary responsibility of this position is to communicate with, motivate, train, and evaluate employees.

 

This individual will be responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting  performance ppraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.

 

Manages the development and implementation of operational procedures, provides technical assistance and support in the coordination and plans for the daily activity of staff in the licensing and application process.

 

Reviews and evaluates complex applications to determine if applicant is qualified for Nursing Home Administrators and/or Medical Physicist, EMT/Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist licensure.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of applicable statutes and rules.
  • Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, analyzing data & problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to supervise and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to plan & develop policies and procedures, utilize problem solving techniques, and determine work priorities.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies & procedures.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance regarding operational & licensure issues.
  • Skills in written and verbal communication.
  • Skills in utilizing computers and software programs.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent AND

• 2 years administrative and supervisory experience to include computer software, data entry, travel arrangement preparation, document preparation, personnel and budget review.

• College education can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
