Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and evaluates operational effectiveness of the rental vehicle contract.
- Proactively resolves issues and implements efficiencies in the rental vehicle contract.
- Provides analysis of reports and special studies on the rental vehicle contract, identifying potential issues and offering recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develops and coordinates implementation strategies for problems assigned in accordance with federal, state, and department objectives.
- Provides targeted recommendations to strengthen and improve executive decision-making within the department.
- Makes general recommendations regarding areas of management where additional evaluation is needed.
- Reports all substantive issues regarding the rental vehicle contract and formulates monthly reports regarding same.
- Monitors, evaluates, and reports on the operational effectiveness of the rental vehicle contract, ensuring compliance with all contractual terms, policies, and regulations.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of the rental vehicle industry.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering, or administrative work
Other job-related requirements for this position:
- Adheres to safety awareness policies in the workplace, views safety videos when presented and attends required safety meetings. Practices lessons learned on a daily basis to avoid accidents.
- Pursuant to F.S. 215.422 every officer or employee who is responsible for the approval or processing of vendors’ invoices or distribution of warrants to vendors are mandated to process, resolve and comply as section 215.422 requires
- This position requires being on-call after normal work hours
