JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Research and Training Specialist position in Training and Professional Development (TPD) in the Office of Workforce Management (OWM). TPD supports agency-wide strategies to develop a productive workforce through training and communication in cost-effective ways. This position is the primary TPD editor responsible to work with subject matter experts and OWM team members to develop communication materials, newsletter articles and training materials across multiple platforms.
Duties of the position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Writing, editing, proofreading, and coordinating the publication of internal workforce communications, including workforce emails, newsletter articles, announcements, and related materials.
- Developing, editing, and proofreading training materials ensuring adherence to established requirements.
- Delivering training via webinar and in-person classes.
- Updating SharePoint web pages and associated materials.
- Serving as OWM’s liaison to the Department’s internal communications team.
- Performing other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one year of experience, in the last five years, in internal or external communications or training development, including writing and editing.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working in SharePoint Online.
- Experience using Chicago or Associated Press style and writing in active voice.
PREFERENCES:
- Experience delivering training to live or virtual adult audiences.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- This position is not eligible for telework.
SALARY: $47,000.04 - $50,000.04
