SPECIAL NOTES:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience in Insurance field.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional preferences:
- Currently hold or previously held a Florida Adjuster License.
- Three (3) years of experience working in a Management or Supervisory positions
- Knowledge of Florida Statutes regarding insurance claims.
- Experience in participating in mediations on liability claims.
- Experience in training other adjusters.
- Experience in adjusting liability claims.
This position will be filled at $75,000.00 - $77,250.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the overall supervision of all claims and claims activity. This includes the supervising and direction of staff (Risk Management Program Specialists and Administrative Support) assigned to this Region, and the defense attorneys and contract adjusters performing services in this Unit, in the evaluation and disposition of case files. Provides training and motivation of staff and exercises control over the reserving and settlement of complicated technical and involved claims. Keeps staff, defense attorneys and contract adjusters abreast of current procedures, policies, regulations, legislation, and pertinent case law.
