Duties and Responsibilities
The Bureau of Credentialing Services is looking for a self-motivated MS Compliance Officer I to continue the Department's mandate in maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of service. This position is responsible for evaluating and reviewing license and registration applications and other data for approval/rejection based on compliance with eligibility standards and regulations. This position enters and maintains data electronically using various databases including Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) and Cash Receipt System (CRS); composes correspondence and responds to email inquiries; receives and routes incoming and outgoing mail. This position might also handle payments, refunds, daily financial reports, and reconciliation of financial ledgers, and any other duties as assigned.

- Ability to recognize, analyze, and research trends and patterns.
- Skill in performing data entry.
- Skill in proofreading, editing, and verifying data for accuracy.
- Knowledge of and the ability to understand, apply and interpret applicable laws, rules, regulations, program policies and procedures related to driver licenses and registrations.
- Ability to organize and maintain filing systems.
- Skill in providing customer service to internal and external customers in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Skill in composing written correspondence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skill in researching and analyzing information and/or data.
- Ability to perform manual calculations and financial transactions.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and the Cash Receipt System (CRS).
- Ability to maintain confidential files and information.
- Ability to operate general office equipment to include a personal computer, copier, fax machine, telephone and calculator.
- Skill in researching, reviewing and analyzing information to make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience:
- Using the Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) and/or the Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS).
- Providing customer service, handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
- Acting as a team lead.
- Performing data entry and/or maintaining electronic databases.
- Reviewing documents for accuracy.
- Using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Job Related Requirements
- The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance, the Department will have access to all an applicant’s criminal and juvenile delinquency records, even those that have been sealed or expunged.
- The position requires the incumbent to have and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing. A driver’s license history review will be conducted on all candidates in consideration for the position.
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
- Occasional overnight Travel may be required.

- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
