What you will do:

• Assists in Department legislative initiatives
• Provides advice and assistance to state mental health treatment facilities
• Assists procurement and contract team as requested
• Assists litigation attorney by providing advice and assistance
• Assists program attorneys by providing advice and assistance
• Research and issue opinions regarding department issues
• Prepare Department witnesses for attendance at hearings and depositions
• Review and respond to public records requests as requested
• Research and provide advice/legal opinion on issues of importance to the Department
• Other Duties as Assigned
