Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • One (1) or more years of supervisory experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. 
     
  • Office hours are from 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

 

Mail Room — Oversees and directs employee participation in all mail processing functions for the commission’s Headquarters Office, to include: the opening and distribution of all incoming mail; entering all monies received by mail into the automated receipt system; the collection, weighing, calculation of postage, metering and affixing postage to all outgoing mail; operation and upkeep of mail system equipment. Responsible for: direct supervision of 3 employees; planning work loads and coordinating work priorities; arranging special commission deliveries, mailings and project request; coordinating special mailing requirements with the Post Office; monitoring maintenance and upkeep of assigned vehicles and trip logs to insure the accurate completion of various reports; obtaining repair estimates and procuring services in accordance with state purchasing rules; training employees on assigned tasks; assisting in the development of bid specifications for mailing equipment; soliciting quotations from vendors for the purpose of insuring the lowest process for mail equipment and supplies; referencing State Contracts and preparing orders in accordance with the contracts; corresponding with vendors to acquire special mail processing requirements.

 

Copy Centers — Order paper and supplies for copiers and printer; insure operational supplies are available and stocked; contact vendors when copiers or printers require maintenance; troubleshoot copier and printer problems; insure copier readings are monitored weekly, to prevent copiers from exceeding contracted limits; train commission employees’ on the use of copiers and printers.

Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
