MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of secretarial or clerical work experience.
College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for the required work experience.
Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for the required work experience.

JOB DUTIES:
Performs related Senior Clerk duties which include, but are not limited to, updating and maintaining databases, answering Division main line, and issuing animal movement permits.
CVI Central Database work. Responsible for addressing issues or concerns related to submission of Official Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (OCVIs) to CVI Central database to include duplicates, misfiled OCVIs or CVIs that were incorrectly issued. Reviews and uploads paper certificates into the CVI Central database. Performs outreach to veterinarians for noncompliance issues related to Florida Statues 828, dog and cat certificates. Assists in routing and processing of OCVIs. Reviews CVI Central and share drives for compliance with records retention policy.
Answers telephones, responds to questions, takes messages and transfers calls to bureau program managers and bureau districts, plus provides assistance for cross-coverage including the visitor/reception desk. Converses with Agricultural Law Enforcement and other related divisions when they have an inquiry.
Maintains accurate filling system and computer records. Effectively cross trains to be a support backup for programs that issue animal movement permits. Updates those databases as appropriate. Receives and maintains a variety of disease traceability documents, scans and files documents, posts changes to records, transmits correspondence, and transcribe formats.
Provides assistance to other areas of the division as needed. Compiles data and prepares reports as required by the division. Assist with public record requests.
Performs other related duties as required, which includes providing support to the Emergency Support Function (ESF)-17 operations as required during emergency situations. May serve as ESF-17 team member.
