The Work You Will Do:
Senior Clerk / Support Services / Office of Administration
Provides a variety of security and administrative support duties associated with operating the electronic access control system for the Department of Transportation Guest Services and Security Section within the Support Services Office. Specific duties include creating, printing and issuing building access (ID) cards. Enter access and clearance information into electronic access control system, maintain files of access request forms, visitor access records, and all forms associated with security and building access operations. Ensure record retention requirements are met and followed. Serve as backup in Guest Services signing in visitors using the electronic Verkada Guest system and provide customer service. Monitor visitors access while at Central Office Burns Building.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Provides a variety of security and administrative support duties associated with operating the electronic access control system for the Department of Transportation Guest Services and Security Section within the Support Services Office. Specific duties include creating, printing and issuing building access (Id) cards. Enter access and clearance information into electronic access control system, maintain files of access request forms, visitor access records, and all forms associated with security and building access operations. Ensure record retention requirements are met and followed. Serve as backup in Guest Services signing in visitors using the electronic Verkada Guest system and provide customer service. Monitor visitors access while at Central Office Burns Building.
Issue and maintain parking permits for Central Office Burns Building lots as required. Conduct daily (3) walking patrols of the building exterior and parking lots and report unauthorized activity, damaged property, parking or tag display violations or any concerns to management. Coordinate with employees or visitors to correct parking issues or incorrect display of parking tags or placards. Maintain parking records and logs by following retention requirements.
Review and assist with security related work orders via ServiceNow Work Order system. Primary backup for issuing and maintaining reserved parking contracts and entering them into the DMS Tririga system.
Assist with emergency building and security activities to include calling 9-1-1 in the event of a security or medical emergency in the building or on the premises. Use Motorola radio to call for assistance, by immediately contacting the unit supervisor and management team in the event of any building-related or medical emergency. Serve on the building evacuation team for building evacuations and emergencies. Conduct training on safety and emergency evacuation plans for Central Office staff. Monitor the fire alarm panel and report alarm events to the unit supervisor or maintenance supervisor. Operate and monitor camera surveillance equipment for Central Office facilities during normal working hours. Report unusual or unauthorized activity to management immediately. Report camera outages or malfunction to manager immediately. Review and save video footage as requested by management. Maintain records following retention requirements for video storage and files.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Valid class E driver’s license. High School Diploma or equivalent and two years or clerical work experience. College education at an accredited institution can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
