Description of Position:

 

This incumbent will provide administrative support for the Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight’s Executive section and serve as the primary receptionist for incoming calls for the Executive, EMS, DATA and Trauma sections.

 

Assists with file maintenance, data entry, mail processing, distribution list maintenance, and other general receptionist duties.

 

Maintains knowledge of and adheres to the department's purchasing, financial and personnel policies and procedures. Uses the state purchasing card, maintain appropriate security and documenting expenditures. Develops purchase orders as requested.

 

Provide administrative support for assignments, research, and report preparation as assigned or directed.

 

Assists with meeting coordination, correspondence, meeting facility coordination and onsite meeting support for the Executive staff

 

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications, KSAs, and/or other Specific Information:

 

  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of and skills with computer software: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and RIMS.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to understand and apply statutes, rules, and administrative and program policies and procedures.
