Job Description
This is highly responsible professional work in administering, planning, developing, and evaluating the Court Interpreter Certification and Regulation Program (CICRP). The Senior Court Analyst II works under the limited supervision of the program manager and displays a high level of initiative, performing a variety of core functions. These include conducting complex research and analysis of program issues, composing technical reports, assisting with related program policy development, planning workshops and conferences, delivering clear, accurate, and convincing formal presentations, administering oral examinations, and evaluating program operations and standards.
This position also conducts audits and recommends approval of court interpreter registration applications and renewals, monitors continuing education training programs, and makes recommendations to the Court Interpreter Certification Board (Board) regarding compliance with mandatory training standards. This position provides primary staffing for select Board committees and works closely with the senior attorney assigned part-time to this program on related Board/committee matters. The Senior Court Analyst II is responsible for assessing, planning, and determining comprehensive database requirements and serves as the liaison with Data Administration staff to develop programs for improving the functionality and capability of the CICRP database.
Other duties include: preparing confidential testing/rating material and auditing written and oral exam test results; responding to inquiries regarding certification, continuing education, and renewal; and conducting other related functions regarding the operation of the CICRP. Working relationships are established with court personnel, judges, attorneys, and professionals within the program―to include instructors, staff with national court interpreter programs, vendors, and the general public. This position deals with confidential and sensitive data and issues, requires the use of independent judgment and discretion, and must demonstrate responsible behavior.
Education and Training Guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, statistics, social sciences, or a closely related field.
Four years of related work experience.
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.

Competencies
Must possess excellent oral and written skills. Experience staffing boards, committees, or similar entities preferred. Must be able to develop and deliver training curriculums. Access database experience preferred. Must be able to assess, plan, and determine comprehensive database requirements, and assist with the development of programs for improving the functionality and capability of the Court Interpreter Certification & Regulation Program database. Intrastate travel required an average of five days per trip, approximately four times per year.
