POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an exciting opportunity within Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Information Technology Services Division. The incumbent will be responsible for project business analysis activities, which include managing customer relations, gathering, and documenting business requirements (both functional and nonfunctional), facilitating IT requirements-gathering meetings, and assisting with project documentation. They will work with FDLE customers and vendors to conduct assessments, determine user needs, and define system requirements. The role also includes other related assignments as requested by the supervisor. The position serves as a business analyst in the development and maintenance of information systems (design, review, testing, documentation). This role also supports other team members in performing these tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Assuming responsibility for project business analysis activities required for FDLE’s Business Systems Engineering customers;
- Managing customer relations, gathering, and documenting business requirements (both functional and nonfunctional);
- Facilitating IT requirements meetings;
- Assisting with project documentation development;
- Consulting with FDLE customers, vendors and conducting assessments in order to determine user needs and to define system requirements;
- Helping other members in the performance of these tasks; and
- Performing other related assignments as requested by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

BACKGROUND:
FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
