    This is a supervisory position as defined in Chapter 447.203, Florida Statutes, within the Bureau of Operations, Licensure Support Unit.  This position performs independent, advanced level work of the most complex and difficult assignments under limited supervision.  This high-level position provides management and supervision of the License Renewal and Emailers Teams.  This position plans workload, workflow, and priorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Continuously evaluates the workflow and processes to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
    This position:
  • Directly supervise employees responsible for coordination and release of health care practitioner and facility renewal notifications as required in s.456.038 Florida Statutes and oversees the release retained fingerprint renewals for healthcare practitioners in the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.  Oversee documents and/or contacts appropriate parties to ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise employees who responds to healthcare practitioner inquiries through electronic correspondence and directs day to day workload.
  • Plans the employee’s workloads, workflow, objectives and utilization of the employees to ensure maximum use of time and resources are met.  Evaluates employees through established criteria and meets regularly to ensure criteria are met.  Responsible for personnel actions concerning hiring, terminations, promotions, transfers, appraisals, and other personnel actions of subordinate employees or recommend such actions.  Reviews administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and related directives to be implemented; evaluates impact on operations 
  • Performs analysis of statistical reports to monitor statutory mandates; provides analysis to management of statistical reports monitoring performance measures of the program to identify problem areas, trends, and possible solutions.  Conducts research, performs statistical, trend and data analysis for bureaus within MQA.  Uses skilled decision-making techniques in evaluating, planning, and integrating analysis of data to formulate solutions, strategies, and recommendations. Identifies and analyzes business requirements and systems design to meet the business needs of the program.  Analyzes data and makes recommendations for changes, improvements, modifications to ensure the quality and accuracy of information.
  • Is responsible for monitoring healthcare practitioner’s compliance with practitioner workforce surveys and issuance of non-disciplinary citations as required by statute and handles those that are denied for renewal under Section 456.0635.
