JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Senior Management Analyst II – SES position in the General Tax Administration Program’s, Resource Management Process, Financial Management Unit. The position is responsible for billing the Department of Commerce (COM), including third parties, for the Department of Revenue's (DOR) administration and collection of reemployment tax (RT) from employers who have nexus. Responsibilities include preparing monthly invoices, conducting semiannual cost "true-up" analyses using activity-based costing software to calculate unit costs for RT collection services.

The incumbent prepares quarterly RT hours reports for COM, prepares and documents DOR's portion of the Resource Justification Model (RJM) for the U.S. Department of Labor, and analyzes People First and FLAIR data to ensure accurate cost allocation, compliance with federal funding requirements, and audit-ready documentation.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining historical RT staffing data and preparing monthly and semiannual child support reimbursement invoices by researching and compiling costs associated with the Department's Revenue Processing unit.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Seven years of experience with Florida government accounting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Experience using Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, business administration, business management, computer science, or a related field may substitute for four years of the required experience with Florida government accounting.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience using MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP)/Ariba On Demand (AOD), Works, People First/BOBJ, and Axiom Pro.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $6,666.67 monthly/$80,000.00 annually.
