JOB SUMMARY: This is a highly complex and responsible professional position requiring substantial administrative and technical knowledge of the Child Support Program (Program). The incumbent is responsible for independently developing, analyzing and evaluating fiscal and budgetary procedures related to the complex reporting functions of the Program with limited supervision. The work requires applying a logical understanding of business practices and procedures in order to analyze and resolve problems. The incumbent has a significant role in the final preparation of the budget. This position provides consultation, advice, and recommendations to others while ensuring communications with others are clear and concise and gets the information needed to do the job.
The incumbent in this position will serve as a team lead supporting a section in the Resource Management Process, Financial Planning and Analysis Unit, will backup, assist and mentor all other team members, and will be accountable for the performance of the following duties and responsibilities:
Lead major projects and initiatives which include developing and preparing special program analyses, procedural reviews and statistical evaluations which provide management information for improved analytical and program control capability. Lead and assist with budget management and financial statement preparation. Evaluate the impact of legislative and federal proposals on the Program’s operating budget. Assist in developing and submitting the annual Legislative Budget Request.
Lead the review, analysis, interpretation, impact and evaluation for all new or changing legislative state and/or federal laws, rules and regulations that may have an impact on the Program's grant, financial and reporting requirements, and provide management with related recommendations for changes. Develop recommendations, if necessary, for procedures to ensure compliance.

- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Six or more years’ experience in government finance (accounting, auditing, budget administration, contract management, grant management, purchasing, revenue management or related.) *
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Two or more years’ experience with federal funding.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
- *A college degree(s) can substitute year for year for up to five years of the required experience.
PREFERENCES:
- Preference given if the applicant has experience within the Child Support Program.
- Preference given if the applicant has strong oral and written communications skills.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- Two team lead positions are being filled, one in budget administration (position # 4149) and one in revenue management (position # 4056). Applicants will be considered for both positions.
SALARY: $52,859.88 - $71,951.64.
